EHR Analyst (Clinical Systems Analyst)

The Dimock Center, a nonprofit, community-based health organization serving Boston’s neighborhoods, is seeking an EHR Analyst to support and optimize our electronic health record platform, eClinicalWorks (eCW).

This role is ideal for a collaborative, solutions-oriented professional who enjoys improving clinical workflows, supporting end users, and using technology to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. The EHR Analyst serves as a key resource connecting clinical staff, operations teams, and technical systems to ensure the EHR effectively supports care delivery across the organization.

The Dimock Center is a federally qualified community health center (FQHC) dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities through equitable access to comprehensive health care, behavioral health services, and education. Our work is mission-driven, community-focused, and centered on reducing health disparities across Boston.

In this role, you will have meaningful impact by helping clinicians and staff use technology more effectively — improving workflows, strengthening data integrity, and supporting quality and revenue cycle outcomes that directly affect patient access to care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for eClinicalWorks (eCW), ensuring system configuration supports clinical workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve EHR issues for end users, escalating complex problems to vendors or internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Configure system settings, templates, schedules, and user access to meet organizational and clinical needs.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing training for providers and staff using the EHR system.
  • Support both onsite and remote users with technical and application-related questions, including workflow optimization guidance.
  • Generate ad hoc reports and assist with data validation and reporting requests.
  • Act as a liaison between report developers and operational users to translate reporting needs into actionable solutions.
  • Assist with tracking, trending, and reporting quality measures and organizational performance metrics.
  • Review system updates and communicate application changes and enhancements to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Participate in projects focused on improving EHR utilization, system performance, and user experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience supporting eClinicalWorks (eCW) strongly preferred; experience with another EHR system will be considered.
  • Experience with EHR reporting and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Cognos, Crystal Reports, or other business intelligence/reporting tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient data security best practices preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across clinical and administrative teams.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Why Join The Dimock Center

  • Mission-driven organization serving Boston communities
  • Opportunity to directly impact patient care through technology
  • Broad exposure to clinical, operational, and quality initiatives
  • Collaborative environment with meaningful cross-functional work
  • Role offering both technical and workflow optimization experience
