Clinical Supervisor- part time
Ummi's Program (Family Sober Living Program)
PROGRAM SUMMARY: Dimock’s Ummi’s Program works with pregnant and parenting women and men in recovery from substance use disorders, with their children. An eligible parent will be pregnant or have at least one child in his/her physical custody at entry. Families may have histories of homelessness, mental health issues, primary health issues such as HIV/AIDS, and trauma in conjunction with their substance use disorder.
The overall goal of Family Sober Living Programs (FSLP) is to provide a transitional supportive sober living environment for families recovering from substance use disorders and to assist and support families in recovery to achieve self-sufficiency and independent living.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides clinical supervision to the clinical and residential staff. The Clinical Supervisor ensures that the residential program provides evidence based and trauma informed, quality care at all times, in a culturally competent manner. The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively with the Program Director. The Clinical Director provides individual and group clinical supervision to Behavioral Health Specialists, Child Service Coordinator and Case Managers. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance with BSAS and Joint Commission guidelines. The Clinical Director supports staff in developing skills to respond to the complexities of co-occurring disorders and trauma.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday-4 hours a week.
Education/Experience:
Requirements: The clinical supervisor (CS) will be a Senior Clinician with at least: (1) a master’s degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: social work, psychology, education-counseling, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, (2) a minimum of one year of supervised substance use counseling experience; (3) 2 years of experience in providing substance use and mental health services to families with substance use disorders/trauma histories, and (4) at least 1 FTE year of clinical experience in a supervisory role. The CS will provide clinical supervision to the Family Sober Living Program staff as required. (.10 FTE Clinical Supervision per week). A team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills is required. Strong negotiation skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to effectively interact with clinicians, providers, consumers, and public health officials are critical.
