JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:
The Clinical Director of Adult Medicine position provides clinical oversight and patient care planning for comprehensive medical services at The Dimock Center, with a special eye towards our most vulnerable patients. We are looking for an empathetic, growth focused leader whose passion matches ours.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as Clinical Director of the Adult Medicine Clinic, responsible for managing clinical care and program planning for the clinic.
  • Maintains oversight and further develops patient care systems for adult medicine, including quality assurance, clinic flow-recall systems, and strategies to improve patient care and increase patient utilization.
  • Reviews patient utilization and participates in budgetary planning with appropriate accountability.
  • Oversees clinic administration, including staff recruitment, clinic and call scheduling, and general administrative management.
  • Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and leads quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provides supervision and support for Providers, Nurses, and Medical Assistants, including teaching, performance reviews, and addressing disciplinary issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a clinical setting.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Frequent standing and walking required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position is full time, with 70% allocated to clinical responsibilities and 30% to administrative duties. Occasional evenings and weekends required.

Compensation: $260,000 - $280,000

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Doctorate in Medicine required. Must be Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  2. Minimum of five years of experience working as a physician.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in clinical administration
  4. Must meet all credentialing criteria for health insurance providers.
  5. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred but not required
