Physician, Adult Medicine (Primary Care)

Primary Care Physician

The Dimock Center seeks a compassionate, dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse urban community. This role is ideal for physicians who want to give back, practice team-based care, and help shape a preventive and chronic care model in a community health setting.

Our Health Center provides primary and specialty care, including pediatrics, OB/GYN, dental, and eye care.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO with completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

  • Board certified or eligible; Massachusetts licensure, DEA registration, and controlled substance license required.

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

  • Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of start.

Role Overview
The PCP will provide comprehensive care for a panel of patients, collaborating with physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, medical assistants, social workers, and nutritionists. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering patient-centered primary care while integrating preventive, chronic, and acute care strategies.

  • Reviewing and following up on labs, imaging, referrals, and hospital/ED transitions.

  • Documenting clinical encounters accurately in the electronic health record.

  • Ensuring patient access, including in-person visits and after-hours consultation per schedule.

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinic projects, and population health interventions.

  • Mentoring and supporting the care team to enhance professional growth and team efficiency.

Compensation

  • $175,000–$210,000 per year plus benefits.
