Registered Nurse (RN), OB/GYN
Pay: $33/hr – $40/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, clinic-based role. Occasional evening or partial Saturday shift may be required as needed on rotation

Summary/Objective
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the OB/GYN department provides comprehensive, culturally responsive nursing care in an ambulatory women’s health setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary care team, the RN supports patient care through triage, clinical support, patient education, care coordination, and follow-up. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Essential Functions
- Provide phone and in-person patient triage.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, and BMI.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and therapeutic injections.
- Perform CLIA-waived testing including pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and blood glucose.
- Provide patient education including early pregnancy education and chronic condition counseling.
- Support STI screening and family planning services according to clinical protocols.
- Conduct independent visits such as pregnancy test visits and contraceptive injections.
- Provide clinical assessment and support during urgent or emergent situations.
- Coordinate care including referrals, follow-up appointments, and outreach to patients.
- Perform prescription refill coordination and respond to pharmacy inquiries.
- Conduct postpartum follow-up calls and outreach to patients with missed appointments.
- Assist with obtaining outside medical records and immunization histories.
- Support tracking of obstetrical patients and follow-up needs.
- Assist with inventory, supply ordering, and medication management.
- Participate in quality audits and clinical documentation tracking.
- Collaborate with providers and care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
- This position operates in an ambulatory OB/GYN clinic setting.
Physical Demands
- Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. May require lifting up to 40 pounds with frequent carrying up to 25 pounds.
Required Education and Experience
- Active Massachusetts RN license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in OB/GYN or women’s health.
- Experience with phone triage strongly preferred.
- Basic electronic documentation skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
